Zur Debatte über den drohenden Kollaps der europäischen Solarindustrie erklärt Michael Bloss, Mitglied im Industrieausschuss und klimapolitischer Sprecher der Grünen im EU-Parlament:
China, die USA, die ganze Welt fördert mit großen staatlichen Programmen ihre Solarindustrie, nur Europa ist so naiv, sich allein auf den freien Markt zu verlassen. Das treibt die europäische Solarindustrie in den Ruin.
Wir brauchen sofort ein europäisches Rettungsprogramm für die Solarindustrie. Die europäische Solar-Allianz und der Net-Zero-Industry-Act sind Schall und Rauch, wenn die europäischen Solarfabriken dichtmachen müssen. Wenn die Werke einmal ihre Tore schließen, machen sie nicht mehr auf und Europa gehen Millionen von Arbeitsplätzen und Milliarden-Umsätzen durch die Lappen.
Wir brauchen eine Million europäische Solaranlagen auf einer Million europäischer Schuldächer. Mit so einem Programm kann die EU etwas fürs Klima, für die europäische Solarindustrie, für die Bildung und für günstigen Strom vor Ort leisten. Auch sollten wir mit europäischen Fördergeldern nur noch europäische Solaranlagen bezahlen.
Es gibt viele Lösungen. Die EU-Kommission muss aber sofort handeln, denn der Kampf um die Industrien der Zukunft ist in vollem Gange. Wer nicht mit der Zeit geht, geht mit der Zeit.

China, the USA, and the world are powering their solar industries with hefty government support. Meanwhile, Europe's exclusive reliance on the free market is driving its solar sector to ruin.
We urgently need a European rescue plan for the solar industry. The European Solar Alliance and the Net Zero Industry Act are useless if European solar factories close. Once shut down, they won't easily reopen, costing Europe millions of jobs and billions in revenue.
Let's install a million European solar systems on a million school roofs. This EU-backed initiative can benefit climate action, bolster the European solar industry, support education, and provide affordable local electricity. Use European funding exclusively for these solar systems.
Numerous solutions exist, but the EU Commission must act swiftly. In the race for future industries, adaptation is crucial. Fail to adapt, and you'll be left behind.
